Publishing scientific research widens access to information and thus influences future research and conservation. It also adds credibility to research because papers must be peer reviewed. However, publication rates of scientists from African countries are low compared to the amount of research they do.

Who Is This Course For?

This course is designed for early career African conservation scientists with a Masters degree or higher, who are actively involved in research within non-governmental organisations, universities and government research departments. (Students who have submitted a Master’s thesis will be considered.)

Successful applicants must bring draft manuscripts of a research paper they wish to publish.
