Step into the Wild: TBA’s 2025 Uganda Field Course is Open for Applications!

3 December 2024

Join a unique group of conservationists in Kibale Forest National Park, Uganda, for the Tropical Biology Association field course in tropical ecology and conservation.

For a month, participants will delve into the heart of one of Africa’s most biodiverse forests, guided by world-class experts. From forest ecology and restoration to animal behavior and plant-animal interactions, the course provides hands-on training in essential field research techniques. A key highlight is designing and executing an independent research project—from developing questions to writing up and presenting the findings.

Since 1994, TBA’s field courses have been a springboard for careers in conservation, equipping participants with transferable skills and fostering connections across the globe. Our alumni have gone on to excel as researchers, conservationists, and decision-makers, inspired by the networks and expertise gained through the program.
