Introduction to popular scientific writing – a one day workshop, Kenya

The TBA Kenya Alumni Group are organising a one day workshop on 30 March 2016 to help scientists to reach a wider audience, by sharing their work and their enthusiasm with the public.

Popular scientific writing is a discipline that bridges the gap between academia and the general public. It is an effective way to convey to the public not just facts but the excitement of doing science.  It also brings the information to a level that is enjoyable, memorable and understandable even to a younger audience that would not understand all the scientific terms and “jargon”.
